FALL EQUINOX AND ASTROLOGY

Fall is here or so the dates on the calendar tell us. The Fall Equinox occurred on September 23 and this year it was on a full moon. Does that mean something? Well, some of the planets like Jupiter and Uranus are really close to the earth right now; closer than they have been for over 40 years. Is something happening?  Some astrologers say that something “heavy” is about to happen. Are they talking about the amazing line up of planets starting to form in the heavens? These planets will be in the convergence of December 21, 2012.  In the fall of this year we find ourselves facing some of the most major signposts in our lives. We have to make major decisions that we may be unprepared for. 

We have just moved into the sign of Libra. This is the first time in over 40 years that the planets Uranus and Jupiter are in play. This means that great changes are in store for us. What will they be? Well, think of the differences between now, 2010, and the sixties. Look at the changes that began back then when the awakening powers of these two planets come together. Right now there is a polarization happening as the planets continue to move into their position for 2012. You can see the polarization for yourself if you watch news shows and consider elections in November. There is definitely polarization. There is also the introduction of the new (like the new that began in the 60’s when people first began to come out of the closet) as political beliefs begin to come out of the closet with the advent of the Tea Party. People are finally tired of the treatment they get from their elected officials and have begun to come out for the basic principles that our country was founded on.

What should we do in preparation for the changes to come? As Bette Davis said “It’s going to be a bumpy ride” so you better be certain that your seat belt is fastened. We are going to start emerging from this terrible recession and our minds are going to be emerging from the old thought that has constrained them. 

Jupiter is the planet that rules politics. As it gets closer (to culminate in the convergence on 12/21/2012 which is the Presidential election year) its influence from other planets (such as Neptune) is bound to increase the lies told in ads as opponents try to destroy each other.  Uranus will become a bigger influence and new ideas will emerge along with new people to replace old politicians. 

Yes, the Fall Equinox has arrived and we have moved into a new set of planetary signposts. It is up to us to follow the correct ones and to find our way home.
